Global Insurance organization seeks a Sr. Benefits Consultant will be responsible for servicing and retaining approximately a million dollar block of business. Acting as the subject matter expert and attend meetings with Producers to assist in acquiring benefit clients. Mentor staff and play a key role in creating policies and procedures for the organization. Must be able to work directly with Insurance Producers and be a strategic contributor to the organization and clients from inception through the renewal process.
Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in a Business-related field, or equivalent experience in the insurance industry, plus 10 years experience in employee benefits.
Extensive working knowledge of group benefits. Proven expertise in all product lines (i.e., medical, dental, life, AD&D, disability), in all service areas and with all financing/funding arrangements (i.e., fully insured, minimum premium, ASO, captives, VEBA?s, etc).
Strong mathematical aptitude.
Advanced knowledge of underwriting.
Ability to prepare budgets and set funding rates for large, self-insured programs.
Ability to compile, analyze and interpret complex financial information and data to facilitate decision making.
Ability to develop original methods, reports, and templates to support the highest level of technical analysis and consulting. -Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads and to meet time sensitive deadlines.
Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and be away from home more than one day and night. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel required; PowerPoint proficiency desired
